Wedding Ceremony Accessories

Flower arrangements and accessories are found throughout the wedding ceremony from wreaths to aisle runners to alter pieces. Wreaths are often found on the door to the ceremony. They include flowers that are inspired by the wedding party. The aisle can have many different floral accessories from dropped petals to chair and pew adornments. Common chair and pew accessories are a simple ribbon, a pomander, galvanized buckets, mason jars, and garden stakes with hanging lanterns and flowers. These pieces are created using a few of the colors and flowers found in the bride’s maids’ bouquets. The alter area often will have floral sprays, which can be reused at various places throughout the wedding reception, and are commonly flowers that accent the bride’s bouquet. Huppahs and arches are common accessories at weddings, especially outdoor weddings. They are decorated with greenery, fabric, and flowers. Most brides choose color palates for huppahs and arches that are softer than those used at the wedding reception or that match the theme of the rest of the wedding flowers. This means that huppahs and arches are often decorated using the same flowers that the rest of the wedding party carries in similar colors.
